DigiTalk (51) Web 2.0

Welcome to the Alaska Region of NOAA's National Weather Service...

Welcome to the Alaska Region of NOAA's National Weather Service The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) Alaska Region provides weather, hydrologic, climate forecasts and volcanic ash and tsunami warnings for the state of Alaska and its surrounding waters. Alaska is the largest state in the country. At one-fifth the size of the combined Lower 48 states, the land mass is 570,374 square miles, or about 365 million acres. Alaska's nearly 47,000 miles of coastline is about two-thirds of the total U.S. coastline. Alaska, also known as The Great State and The Last Frontier, holds many records and unique landmarks such as North America's biggest earthquake - the 9.2 magnitude Good Friday Earthquake of 1964, the Nation's greatest concentration of glaciers, North America's tallest mountain - Mount McKinley at 20,320 feet, and the Nation's farthest-north city - Barrow. Since the Aleutian Island chain passes through the international date line, Alaska also has both the easternmost and westernmost land in the U.S. The city of Anchorage has the largest population base in Alaska and is located in one of the most diverse areas in the world. The Anchorage School District's unique group of students speaks 120 different languages. Similar to its community base, the NWS Alaska Region is diverse in its employees and programs. The Region has an outstanding team of employees in 3 Weather Forecast Offices, 12 Weather Service Offices, the Alaska-Pacific River Forecast Center, the Alaska Aviation Weather Unit, the Anchorage Center Weather Service Unit, the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center, the Anchorage Electronics Unit, and the Alaska Region Headquarters. For more information on other NOAA facilities within the state of Alaska, visit the NOAA in Your State and Territory web site. The Alaska Region Headquarters staff manages all operational and scientific meteorological, hydrologic, and oceanographic programs of the region including observing networks, weather services, forecasting, climatology, and hydrology. We provide vital continuous operational support to our employees, customers, and partners through a variety of services. Some of our unique services include: Operation of the U.S. Tsunami Warning System via the West Coast and Alaska Warning Center (WC/ATWC) in Palmer. The WC/ATWC has the primary responsibility for the detection, location, and determination of magnitude of potentially tsunamigenic earthquakes occurring in the coastal areas of Alaska and British Columbia, the U.S. West Coast, the U.S. Atlantic coast, and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico coast. Operation of the Alaska Aviation Weather Unit, which manages the Anchorage Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) - one of only nine such centers worldwide. The Anchorage VAAC's forecast and warning responsibilities include the Anchorage Flight Information Region and far eastern Russia. Forecast operations within the Region's marine forecast and warning area, which spans from the Canadian Border to the Russian Border and from Dixon Entrance (55 degrees North latitude) north. This includes the Gulf of Alaska, the Bering Sea/Aleutian Islands, and the Arctic Coast. Staff members of NOAA's National Weather Service Alaska Region are dedicated to delivering climate, weather, and water warnings and forecasts in support of our mission to protect lives and property and enhance the economic interests of our Nation. This team of dedicated professionals, in collaboration with our critical partnerships with media, emergency management and academic communities, supports the NWS strategic plan theme of Working Together to Save Lives. Resolved Question: IRAN full coverage! (This does worth reading)?

I think reading this in 5-7 minutes would be better than listening to the news in a lifteime.Plz don't think I'm a very old person.Just 18.A university student studying English who just cannot sit back and hope.
My question is: what percentage of what I say is acceptable to you?

Hi.I'm Iranian and I live in Iran. When I chat with people from other countries, I understand that they have totally wrong ideas about Iran.I just wrote this article to correct you.
The first thing they accuse our government of, is that they don't let you be free.Actually, Iranians would be some of the most liberal people in the world (liberal meaning not obeying laws that they don't like).Thousands of millions of strict rules in other countries, don't even exist in Iran. Also, you should understand that what may seem so normal to you, maybe a nightmare for us and vise versa. That's why you don't understand a few of Iran's laws.In Iran every single house has a sattelite. Sattelite channels have a serious influence on people, the most fashionable clothes are worn by Iranians.Maybe it's a kind of immitation, but still it's got an unique style. People wear fashionable scarves to make themselves more attractive and most part of their hair is out, also it's a part of our culture. They do whatever they wish to and some of the things they do, don't fit our culture at all, however it's normal in Iran, since people have got used to such acts and behaviours. You really need to pay a visit to Iran and you'll be surprised seeing the difference between what you imagined before and how the real Iran is! It's wonderful. The Iran you know, is related to at least 40 years ago.At present, everything's so great if you don't take unemployment into account.Even at that time Iran was not a bad country either, but many things have changed so far.
Some people think music is forbidden in Iran.Did you know that Iranian pop music has won the prize in France in 2005?Iran's full of music and they're all current pop /Trance/ DJ music. The best you've ever heard.I've put some links at the bottom of the page to some Iranian music to download.

Some people think women don't have any rights in Iran! What would you tell me if I tell you that women are now overtaking Iran? They're treated very well, most of the times they're the winners in most cases: They get into the best universities. They get the best jobs. They've got rights that have made it difficult for men to marry them, because husbands seem to be under control of women and they have to buy them expensive things and treat them very well, otherwise women will have the right to ask them a great amount of money which most husbands cannot afford. (so, they can simply sit in the corner of prison! lol). The only thing that women are not allowed to do in Iran is getting into public football stadiums and that's just because IN IRAN, such places are usually full of cheeky guys who would cheek girls.I don't think girls would go there, even if they're allowed to do so.As far as I know, not many girls in Iran are interested in football!

Another funny thing: Your footage about stoning the women who have committed adultery.Have you ever asked yourself they relate to how many years ago?Just for your information, those are from Afghanistan which was once ruled by those freaks (Taliban).I find it difficult to make you understand that Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan are SEPERATE COUNTRIES! and thet we're Persian not Arab! And I find it even more difficult to make you understand that Iran is a normal country like any other countries in the world. There's nothing mysterious about it!(The media is very good at making good scary titles: BEHIND THE CLOSED DOORS!!! IRAN UNDERCOVER!!! This would be enough to scare people away! Iranians are much more educated, sophisticated, intelligent and open-minded than what you think!!! I'm sure you don't know that there are lots and lots of Iranian geniouses and scientists that are all under 25.You don't hear about their discoveries and inventions on TV. A small example is this 17 year old boy who's invented 72 amazing inventions that the biggest scientists haven't ever managed to.You don't know that Iranian students and spotsmen are winning gold and silver medals in different compotitions in the world all the time such as robotics, biology, maths, physics, anything! Why don't your media talk about them?Did you know that the countries having the highest number of scientists in the world are in this order? 1-India 2-Korea 3-Iran

A few weeks ago Iran uncovered the most effective anti-H.I.V medicine and now it's signing treaties with other countries to export it.I digged the news on the internet, but there was no single sign of that. What I found instead? "Prez Bush CLAIMS that bomb parts are imported from Iran into Iraq!" The media have gone mad. They'd put CLAIMS on the headlines, but they would never talk about facts! Some interesting facts:
Iran is the pionier in medicine and gnetics and Iranian surgens have found lots of new methods for treating spinal defects and many other diseases (mainly the treatment for different types of cancer) and the the best brain and heart surgens are Iranian surgens. The head of Mars Mission in NASA is Iranian. The best designer of sports cars working in Germany is Iranian. Some of the best 3D animators are Iranian. One of the top 5 movie directors in the world is Iranian.(you've always heard about Spiel Berg I think!).Iran is one of the best countries in counter-engineering.Holds the second place in building dams. The 4th highest tower (Milad tower) in the world is in Tehran (which you can visit in the following links). The strongest man (the lift-weighter) is Iranian. The woman, and a song by one of the pop singers who/which won the nobel peace prize are Iranians. It's the only country that has all 4 seasons during the year AT THE SAME TIME.That means while it's winter in one part of it, it may be summer / spring in another part! And as you all know, Iranian girls are famous for being terrific.Persian rug which you all know.Persian literature again you know that is so famous.Persian culture (which is now westernised and only a little has survived!) According to statistics Tehran is the cheapest capital city in the world for foriegners with Dollars of course not for us! (Cos our rate is different) Who do you think is building Dubi?Arabs? No my friends, Iranian architectures, engineers and traders funding them, cos they don't think building the same things in Iran would be beneficial for them, Since the media scare tourists away from Iran. There are many other things. It's endless.
Some charactristics of Iranians would be: Proud, greedy, hard-working, intelligent, ambitious, not realistic, not so religious, not so generous, not punctual, impatient, well-dressed, formal, well-educated, warm and friendly and hospitable.

Some people think, Iran's a desert! Iran's a modern country with very beautiful nature and lots of historical places to visit. Please take a look at the following links and see if Iran looks like what you think or not! (Surely it doesn't!)
This is a photo of Tehran: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/79/Tehran-2-1600.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tehran

If you like you can visit these too, hope you like them:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran

It's now 2007 and people still think we are uneducated people living in deserts, riding camels and carrying around guns!!!!
See how the media are fooling people? None of the things you hear on the media about Iran are true.If you think I've been admiring Iran too much, that's because you'd do the same thing if you were looked down nearly everyday for some false reasons.

I thought it's better to clarify some political matters as well:
Some of the Americans I chatted with (not all of them), said here in the U.S it's said that president Ahmadinejad hates the U.S and Israel and wants to nuke them!! This is so odd, their media is good at putting comments. It's easy to show a video or an image of our president or leader on the T.V screen or on the internet and say he says this, he says that.....I really don't get the point why our politicians defame themselves by talking about the things that have got nothing to do with us.Does verbal defence of Palestinians cause them to have a better life? The thing is that they occasionally make some statements that the media would misuse it agaisnt Iran. like picking up some specific sensitive phrases from among a long speech (without reffering to the main points and reasons for that speech) and putting so many bad comments on that.No sane person would take it serious, cos everyone would have known by now that 99.99% of what the media say turns out to be wrong and the same percent of what they predict would happen, never happens!

First of all, Iranians don't hate anyone. If our government complains about some injustice going on in the world, it's not bad.Is it? We don't hate Jews, nor do we hate Americans. They're both nice people. If they're media are fooling them, it's not their fault. If I were in their shoes, I would hate Iran too regarding all the terrible lies they keep hearing about it nearly everyday.Although ordinary Iranians don't care about world affairs, I've got to say that for us Israel is not equal with Jews! Israel is a govt, Jews are faithful people! A few of them live here in our neighbourhood and they live just like the rest of the Iranians. No difference. And two of Iranians parliment members are Jews. Who says we want to force the others to convert to Islam?Have you ever found a Muslem knocking at your door asking you to do so?That's so funny. Christians and Jews are both God believers and respectful to us.I wonder why the media like putting words in our mouth and raising hatred. In Iran, religion would be the least important thing, it means that where you come from and what you're religion is, are not important to us at all.And I wonder why some Muslem countries think there's a problem between Shiites and Sunnies, it doesn't make sense in Iran.

I wonder Iran is a threat to whom? How is it possible for Iran to nuke somewhere while it doesn't have any nukes?!!!(The media have never been intelligent liars).Has Iran ever attacked anywhere? There's no proof of that. That's what even nuclear agency says.Only Iran's oppositions are pulling Iran's leg. What we're doing is legal. What they ask us to do (ignoring our international rights) is illegal and nonsense.

Some say he said: Israel should be wiped off the map! But have they told you the rest of his speech and that why he's said this at all? If you know a little literature, you know that it's a passive sentence. He's never said that IRAN wants to wipe Israel off the map! And he wasn't talking about destroying Israel. He was talking about relocating Israel, so that they could live seperate from Palestinians and they could both live in peace. They've only told you this phrase not the rest of it and it's mistranslated deliberitely.Iran's always defended itself, but it's not an offensive country. While most countries have nukes and are clearly threatening Iran to nuke us! Good isn't it?

Some say he's said: Holocaust is a myth! again this is a single phrase from among a long speech and there are totally logical reasons for saying so.If 6000000 Jews were killed, that's so terrible, but those 300000 Shiite Moslems killed by Saddam aren't important at all! Over 650000 Iraqi people are killed and it's not important! When Fox News simply says: America and Israel are capable of destroying and killing all Iran's 690000000 population, it's OK and no one says they're threatening other countries to nuke them (I saw this with my own eyes on the Fox News web-site) Millions of people killed in Afghanistan, Hiroshima & Nakazaki and vietnam war are not considered human beings at all! Now I think you'd get the point why he's IRONICALLY said it's a mith. Moreover, don't you believe in freedom of speech/mind? I know Americans don't like these either, but what can they do?I hope someday the media would end all this instead of playing a negative role in the world.

Resolved Question: How do I delete the web addresses in my address bar (the bar with: http://www.....).?

I think reading this in 5-7 minutes would be better than listening to the news in a lifteime.Plz don't think I'm a very old person.Just 18.A university student studying English who just cannot sit back and hope.
My question is: what percentage of what I say is acceptable to you?
This article has three parts: Culture and general info, scientifical and political, so plz read it from the top to the bottom.

Resolved Question: How do I delete the web addresses in my address bar (the bar with: http://www.....).?

When I click on the little "\/" (down arrow) next to my address bar (http://www.....), a column of about 20 websites pops up. I would like to clear these addresses. I have tried everything! I have tried "clear history"; and right click and delete; and view > toolbar, but nothing seems to work. I would appreciate if someone could let me know exactly what to do. Thanks!

Resolved Question: I have 200+ visitors on my web page http://www.india-links.1freehost.net everyday, but returning are only 10?

The no. of unique visitors is huge , but out of them only 10 to 20 visitors are returning visitors. The loyalty level is vry low, whereas I thought those who visit my web site once should make it their home page. It is like a "favourite" page for everybody in India. Still why are people in India not making it their home-page?

Resolved Question: Do you think what you know about Iran is the truth?

I think reading this in 5-7 minutes would be better than listening to the news in a lifteime.Plz don't think I'm a very old person.Just 18.A university student studying English who just cannot sit back and hope.
My question is: what percentage of what I say is acceptable to you?
This article has three parts: Culture and general info, scientifical and political, so plz read it from the top to the bottom.

Voting Question: Where can I play Nintendo 64 games on the web?

I am working on a school (undergrad science level) project.

I would like to be able to send a signal in a very tightly controlled area. Ideally I would like to be able to concentrate the signal very precisely at my target, with no reception outside the transmission cone. I wonder how tightly can the signal drop be controlled.

I would like to use a frequency similar to Bluetooth or in that range.... I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction for some information about the antenna design and --most importantly-- to the formula that would help me determine how fast the signall drops off outside the transmission cone.

My application requries relatively short (20-30 ft MAX) transmission distance.

Can someone suggest a book or article (physical or on the web) that gives the formula for the drop off of the signal outside the cone? Thanks

Voting Question: How long does it take to create a flash web-site?

I have hired a web-designer in November to create a flash site for me. He took until now to make it, and the results are not that impressive at all. :(
I need to hire someone new asap and I want to give them a strict deadline. If they go past it, I'm going to start taking out $20 from their final pay for every day they're overdue.
I don't wanna be unfair though and I would like to give them a deadline that's realistic.
So how long should it really take to create a nice but not-super-complicated flash web-site? It's for a music artist, so it wouldn't have to many links, but the design have to be very special.

Voting Question: Looking for a specific photo of a supposed shark attack in action?

I currently have a Sidekick II and want to upgrade to the Dash, but I'm worried about the cost of the full internet data plan ($30). On the Sidekick, unlimited data and text is only $20, but T-Mobile charges $45 for the same features when dealing with the Dash. Thus, my question is this: Will I still be able to access the entire internet if I purchase JUST the $5.99 T-Mobile Web package? I don't need the HotSpot access -- I would only use WiFi at home and possibly at work -- and this seems much better (price-wise).

I know T-Mobile Web uses a WAP browser, but will it still work effectively on the Dash? Furthermore, what are the true advantages of having the full internet plan? Is it really woth the $30? I'm in college and the difference between $6/month and $30/month is quite significant.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Voting Question: Looking for a specific photo of a supposed shark attack in action?

I hope somebody knows what the heck i'm talking about! Years ago when the web was young, probably around 1995 or 1996 I came across a photograph online of a shark attack in progress. It was taken with an underwater camera. It was a shot taken about 20 - 30 feet underwater of a girl swimming kinda at the surface of the water (I think). There was a huge shark about to chomp down on her leg. The caption said "The last photograph taken by a father of his daughter. Her body was never found.".

It was a pretty scary picture and I've yet to find in anywhere! I look every now and then but after more than 10 years have not been able to find it.

Can somebody point me in the right direction or even remember this photo? Thanks in advance! Thanks Laura but that's not the one. It looked kinda like that but it was a real picture. The shark either had her foot or was about to chomp her (I can't quite remember). Thanks for the submission though!

Resolved Question: Why does Yahoo! have so many technical problems?

Do you know?

I didn't know!

How could we?

OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!

WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW?

OUR MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!

Instead of reflecting our love for our country,

we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib

and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.

Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes:

It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support,

and it is intended to discourage American citizens.

Resolved Question: Why does Yahoo! have so many technical problems?

Yahoo! Answers is a VERY slow loading site. Sometimes when I type it into my browser I'll have to wait a minute or two to see anything, or I'll have to open it from a search engine, even though I have DSL. The chat server on Yahoo! Messenger is also pretty crappy. It takes so long to get into a chat room and you might be kicked if the room is 'full' (even though a room has to have 50 chatters to be full and I've been told rooms with 20 or 30 chatters were full) or if the chat server takes longer than usual, which is usually the case. It also quits unexpectedly. Sometimes I send emails to a Hotmail address from Yahoo!, but the emails will never get there and I don't get delivery failure notices. And just now I typed a question about as long as this one and gave it a lot of thought and time and when I tried to ask it loading took a good three minutes so I refreshed and it said the web page expired. Ugh.

Resolved Question: Personal Trainers or Fitness Experts Out there?

OK..I'm looking for ADVANCED advice on burning fat and increasing your metabolism. I've just recovered from a shoulder injury, but previously I've been down to 5% body fat and now I'm in the 20's.

I know about the correct food's and workout plans, now that I can do them much better I would like more interesting, intense workouts that will get me down to at least 12% body fat.

Please don't ramble off books that I've heard a million times or ideas that you and your work buddies talk about at break. If you know someone that's been on the cover of Men's Health or anything like that, please let me know. I've been around EVERYTHING...haven't been on everything, but I have been exposed to everything (almost).

Any web sites or anyone who lives in Ohio who would be affordable to visit for awhile please feel free to get in touch with me as well.

Thank you all!

Pet food maker announces major recall By ANDREW BRIDGES, Associated Press Writer
45 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - A major manufacturer of dog and cat food sold under Wal-Mart, Safeway, Kroger and other store brands recalled 60 million containers of wet pet food Friday after reports of kidney failure and deaths.

An unknown number of cats and dogs suffered kidney failure and about 10 died after eating the affected pet food, Menu Foods said in announcing the North American recall. Product testing has not revealed a link explaining the reported cases of illness and death, the company said.

"At this juncture, we're not 100 percent sure what's happened," said Paul Henderson, the company's president and chief executive officer.

The recall covers the company's "cuts and gravy" style food, which consists of chunks of meat in gravy, sold in cans and small foil pouches between Dec. 3 and March 6. The pet food was sold by stores operated by the Kroger Company, Safeway Inc., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and PetSmart Inc., among others, Henderson said.

Menu Foods did not immediately provide a full list of brand names and lot numbers covered by the recall, saying they would be posted on its Web site — http://www.menufoods.com/recall — early Saturday. Consumers with questions can call (800) 551-7392.

The company said it manufacturers for 17 of the top 20 North American retailers. It is also a contract manufacturer for the top branded pet food companies. Its three U.S. and one Canadian factory produce more than 1 billion containers of wet pet food a year. The recall covers pet food made at company plants in Emporia, Kan., and Pennsauken, N.J., Henderson said.

Henderson said the company received an undisclosed number of owner complaints of vomiting and kidney failure in dogs and cats after they had been fed its products. It has tested its products but not found a cause for the sickness.

"To date, the tests have not indicated any problems with the product," Henderson said.

The company alerted the Food and Drug Administration, which already has inspectors in one of the two plants, Henderson said. The FDA was working to nail down brand names covered by the recall, agency spokesman Mike Herndon said.

Voting Question: When you think of a "Great Achievement in Clean and Simple Design," what do you think of?

What are the top 20 "achievements in clean and simple design"? These should be well known human-made objects that are timeless and elegant.

They can span all history and come from any genre: print design, the web, architecture, food, fashion, furniture, jewelry, art, sculpture, industrial design, etc.

If you agree with items already posted in this forum, please let me know that, too!

Pet Food Recalled Amid Reports Of Pet Deaths
Cats, Dogs Suffered Kidney Failure

POSTED: 9:09 pm CDT March 16, 2007
UPDATED: 9:38 pm CDT March 16, 2007

A major manufacturer of dog and cat food sold under Wal-Mart, Safeway, Kroger and other store brands recalled 60 million containers of wet pet food Friday after reports of kidney failure and deaths.

However, the recalled products were made using wheat gluten purchased from a new supplier, since dropped for another source, spokeswoman Sarah Tuite said. Wheat gluten is a source of protein.

The recall covers the company's "cuts and gravy" style food, which consists of chunks of meat in gravy, sold in cans and small foil pouches between Dec. 3 and March 6 throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The pet food was sold by stores operated by the Kroger Company, Safeway Inc., Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and PetSmart Inc., among others, Henderson said.

Menu Foods did not immediately provide a full list of brand names and lot numbers covered by the recall, saying they would be posted on its Web site -- www.menufoods.com/recall -- early Saturday. Consumers with questions can call (866) 463-6738.

The company said it manufacturers for 17 of the top 20 North American retailers. It is also a contract manufacturer for the top branded pet food companies, including Procter & Gamble Co.

P&G announced Friday the recall of specific 3 oz., 5.5 oz., 6 oz. and 13.2 oz. canned and 3 oz. and 5.3 oz. foil pouch cat and dog wet food products made by Menu Foods but sold under the Iams and Eukanuba brands. The recalled products bear the code dates of 6339 through 7073 followed by the plant code 4197, P&G said.

Menu Foods' three U.S. and one Canadian factory produce more than 1 billion containers of wet pet food a year. The recall covers pet food made at company plants in Emporia, Kan., and Pennsauken, N.J., Henderson said.

The company alerted the Food and Drug Administration, which already has inspectors in one of the two plants, Henderson said. Open Question: How can I use a search engine to find keywords on pages that have been updated within the past 30 days?

I'd like to find a program that I can install on my computer or a web-based application that can do this. I would like to find events that are going on in bars in and around the Boston area. Examples of the events that I'm looking for: bull-riding contests, mud fighting, jello wrestling. Basically I'm looking for a way to avoid having to check 20 different web sites a day for things that are going on in Boston that I want to go to. mishelh: I've been to Yahoo and Google's advanced search but they're not really what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something that will keep an eye on any web site (or a list of web sites) for certain keywords and notify me when those keywords show up.

Resolved Question: 3-20-07 show was about wire and loose bead flowers. Woud like info and cannot find on website.?

Have you noticed that the youth have begun an evolution of attitude since the home pc and internet have allowed them to travel at will? A growing lack of respect for the elderly and parental generation, as well as family values is a direct connection to getting educated via the web without seeking the advice at home. The push to further expand outward is now the inset need of new knowledge and acceptance. What's next, laptops in the womb and parental retirement at age 20?

Voting Question: Seeing triple digits such as 1:11, 2:22, 3:33 mean what to you?

For the past 10 years, I've seen and documented seeing triple digits (111, 444) on clocks, at work on cars sometimes10 - 20 times a day. My family says its a coincidence, web searches tell me I'm a Lightworker. You say?

Resolved Question: 3-20-07 show was about wire and loose bead flowers. Woud like info and cannot find on website.?

The lady on the show was making flower petals out of coiled wire and attaching a clead adhesive backing and dipping it in loose beads. Then she put together 3 petals and the center of the flowers, then two or three other patals and bound them together with floral tape. They were beautiful, but Carol did not show a book, nor mention anything about a book name that I heard. I tuned in just after she introduced the lady, so I did not get her name, but I think I have seen her on before. She was very pretty and tall and had blond hair. This looked like something I would like to try to do. If anyone has any info on this particular show, I would like to know. A date of 3-26 episode flashed on the screen, but I don't know if that meant to wait until next Moday to try to access web site or not.

Voting Question: Would you do this business?

The registration fee is $100 and you will get a free web hosted for life. The catch here is not the free web hosting, but the network that you'll build. If you recruit 5 members to do the same thing as you, you will get $20 for each of them. That's not all, for each of the following new recruits under the first 5 members that you've recruited, you will get $9 for each of them. That means you will get 5 (your recruits) x 25 (your recruits' recruits) x $9 = $1125. Your $100 is already returned plus you will profit from the recruitments under your network in the long run. You will get $9 for every member recruited at subsequent levels as long as they are based under your first 5 members' networks. If you have 7 members direct under you, you'd get a dividend from 13% of the total income of all the networks of the company. Registration is the least of hassles, you can do it online or through cell texts, without filling in forms and such. Would you do this part-time business? Pyramid scams do not feature products or services. Besides, your profit will be updated 1 week from your sales, which means if you closed a new recruit everyday, your bank account will be updated everyday the next week onwards. By the way, the business is 6 weeks old. It only has 10,000 members now. If it's really a pyramid scheme, wouldn't I be one of those on top? You don't have to pay anything else other than $100. There is no maintenance fees whatsoever.

Open Question: Web Cites Research projects a rate of return of 20 percent on new projects.?

I did add a couple more card than last time thus the total of 48 cards in my deck. Please when rating my deck consider the possible multi-intricate combos that can be done and I know you people despise Toons (So try to be impartial) but they are good even though they have weaknesses like all monster do, they are very powerful and their weaknesses can be overcome (i.e. using giant trunade or chaining emergency provisions to protect my toons from being destroyed such a Mystical space typhoon). That is why I have scapegoat, to use the 4 sheep tokens to special summon my Toon Dark Magician Girl, Toon Summoned Skull, and Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon in one turn. Just a reminder that toons are special summons and are great swarms except for my toon Gemini elf of course. My deck is a beat down (i.e. Ring of Destruction + Barrel Behind The door as well as Wave-Motion Cannon and the toons) and a disabler (i.e. Jinzo, Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8, and Mystical Knight of Jackal). Also do have knowledge of the current forbidden/limited card list when rating my deck for your convenience you can view the list one yugioh official web site below in case you were wondering why I do not have a graceful charity or Monster Reborn in my deck it should explain all:

Open Question: PHP/MySQL Developer pay raise or new job?

Ok, so I have been doing web development since 16 and am currently 20. I've been working the past year at this firm. It's a pretty small company.

I started out as an intern and am still an intern after a year. I worked full time in the summers and during breaks (still in college) and part time while in school.

My problem is that I feel I don't get paid enough. There are other interns here that get paid the same amount I do (15$/Hr) for doing word processing and submitting forms. I've put up with it for the past year but it's starting to get on my nerves.

I've developed over three fully functional websites for them, one being a fully PHP/MySQL site with users, three huge databases and the bells and whistles.

Past like month the pay has been bothering me as I feel I have proven myself so I've been coming in slightly late because I'm just not motivated enough, my bosses just brought that issue up to me about my current lateness (15 minutes). Should I find a new job or ask for a rais

Open Question: Web Cites Research projects a rate of return of 20 percent on new projects.?

Management plans to plow back 30 percent of all earnings into the firm. Earnings this year will be $3 per share, and investors expect a 12 percent rate of return on the stock.
What is the sustainable growth rate?
What is the stock price?
What is the present value of growth opportunities?
What is the P/E ratio?
What would the price and P/E ratio be if the firm paid out all earnings as dividends?
What do you conclude about the relationship between growth opportunities and P/E ratios?

Open Question: Did you know?

Do you know?

I didn't know!

How could we?

Did you know that 47 countries' have reestablished their embassies in Iraq? Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people? Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 new schools are now under construction and 38 new schools have been completed in Iraq?

Did you know that Iraq's higher educational structure consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centers, all currently operating? Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United States in January 2005 for the re-established Fulbright program?

Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have 5 - 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval infantry regiment. Did you know that Iraq's Air Force consists of three operational squadrons, which includes 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 Bell Jet Rangers? Did you know that Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a Commando Battalion?

Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers? Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?
Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5 have received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations? Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primary school by mid October?

Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in Iraq and phone use has gone up 158%? Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that consists of 75 radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations?

Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of 2004? Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a televised debate recently?

OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!

WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW?

OUR MEDIA WOULDN'T TELL US!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burning incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades. Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves two purposes:

It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States thus minimizing consequent support, and it is intended to discourage American citizens.

---- Above facts are verifiable on the Department of Defense web site. Dudbolt, not only did I site my source, but I was there, twice. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, you are the misinformed one, you aren't getting the entire story man! St. N - yes stats lie. Yours is a good example. The poll found that 73% of Iraqis want US soldiers to stay (actually, this is part of the problem). So to say 25% or more want us to leave, while accurate, isn't an honest presentation. Same poll found that 68% Iraqis don't feel that they are in a civil war. But we go with our stats from the fooled Americans and claim it as if it were a foregone conclusion. The much smaller amount of institutions that existed before, existed under tyranny. And yes, the U.S. did fund those groups. I'm not saying we're faultless, I'm just saying we aren't getting the whole story.

Open Question: I have a NCAA Tournament bracket question?

Where can I find a place on the web that I can just input the teams from people I had in my pool and it will score it for me automatically. I have about 20 different people in my pool and I just did a couple and it took me a long time just for those two. I dont care how it scores.

Resolved Question: Where can I find cheap web hosting?

I need to make a website but I need it to be cheap. I have a few conditions.

1) It must be under $20

2) It must be yearly, cause some say monthly. I used to think that stuff like "$5.95 a month" meant I can send in money each month but it doesn't, that's just something to lure people.

3) I must be able to own the domain, I recently heard that host own the domains, and I can't have such a thing because I may become a business. If any of you own a site, can I see it?

Open Question: How many pool tables can 1-person open ?

I've asked this question before and I'm hoping for a better answer. For example: In the Advanced Room someone had opened 250 tables (under the name "dreampool rocks1-20") and you cannot even choin that table to play. It's almost like the person is "spamming" the room. Can anything be done about this? Yahoo has one of the best web sites for games, very enjoyable. But why should people like myself have to suffer just because someone has nothing better to do with their time. The answer I had gotten back before was, "just go to another room". Well I found that answer very unprofessionel, and I'm looking forward to your response. Thank You
